Working Groups
LCRI has created issue-specific working groups that organize legal resources to respond where they are needed. LCRI is staffed with two experienced litigation attorneys who are employed full-time, moving forward all aspects of LCRI.

ImmigrationList Item 1
In the face of new forms of immigrant-targeting, the LCRI Immigration Working Group has identified the need for non-immigrant attorney legal assistance by working with community immigrant assistance organizations.

Nonprofit ProtectionList Item 2
The Nonprofit Legal Protection Project is a legal resource built to ensure that the laws that protect federal funding to nonprofits will be followed and enforced so nonprofits can continue to fulfill their charitable missions.

EducationList Item 3
The Education Working Group has been responding to efforts in the education context to eliminate anti-discrimination rules and regulations, with briefing and advising, as well as presenting at public meetings. This working group has also engaged with universities to protect academic freedom and First Amendment rights.

Emerging IssuesList Item 4
Volunteer attorneys are needed to help prepare for protecting reproductive rights, labor rights, First Amendment rights of protestors and defense of attorneys and courts.
